A bilingual Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) fluent in both Spanish and English is sought for a K-12 school located in Elgin, TX. This contract position is for the current school year (CSY) and involves providing testing and initial evaluations exclusively, without carrying a caseload. The school day runs from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, with some flexibility in scheduling to accommodate the candidate’s needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial speech and language evaluations and testing for K-12 students
- Collaborate with school personnel to support student assessments
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of evaluation results
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff in both Spanish and English
- Participate in meetings as directed by the school’s administration
Desired Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with credentials applicable to school settings (SLP-School, SLP-CFY, SLP-CCC)
- Experience or certification as a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in schools is a plus
- Proficiency in bilingual testing and fluency in Spanish and English
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and adhere to school policies and timelines
