Join Our Team: Part-Time School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
At ProCare Therapy, we believe that communication is the foundation of learning, connection, and confidence. We're partnering with a local school district to find a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) who wants to make a measurable difference in the lives of students with special needs.
This part-time role offers the opportunity to work in a focused, structured school environment, providing direct speech and language services to a manageable caseload of students in Special Day Classes (SDCs). These students, ranging from Transitional Kindergarten to 6th grade, benefit from smaller class sizes and individualized support — and you will play a key role in their growth and success.
What You’ll Do:

Provide speech-language therapy to students across 4 special day classrooms (approx. 8 students per class)

Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility evaluations

Develop individualized treatment plans in alignment with each student's IEP

Maintain accurate service records and progress documentation

Collaborate with classroom teachers, aides, and school staff to support academic and social goals

Participate in IEP meetings and provide expert recommendations

Serve as a communication advocate for students with unique learning profiles
Schedule & Commitment:

2–3 days per week (schedule can be customized based on your availability and school needs)

6 hours per day, during standard school hours

Full academic year commitment — beginning August 2025 through June 2026
Ideal Candidate:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
-
Licensed SLP in the state of California (required)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFs will be considered

Previous experience working with students in a self-contained or special education setting is a major plus

Strong understanding of IEP process, speech-language development, and school-based therapy practices
