Job Description:

ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time opportunity in a supportive and collaborative school environment. This is an ideal position for clinicians looking to maintain work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners with unique needs.

As a contracted SLP through ProCare Therapy, you will be responsible for delivering speech and language services to a small caseload of students enrolled in special day classes (SDCs). You will work closely with educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support students’ communication development and educational access.


Position Details:

  • Start Date: Beginning of 2025-2026 School Year

  • Commitment: Full academic year

  • Work Days: 2-3 days per week

  • Hours: 6 hours per day

  • Caseload:

    • 4 Special Day Classes

    • Approximately 8 students per class

    • Grade Levels: Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 6th Grade

    • Students have a variety of communication needs, with individualized education plans (IEPs) in place

  • Service Setting: On-site school-based setting

  • Support: Join a multidisciplinary team with a strong focus on collaboration and student success


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs

  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

  • Deliver direct and consultative services to students with mild to moderate communication disorders

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and therapy notes

  • Attend and participate in IEP meetings as needed

  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth

  • Provide services in accordance with state guidelines and school district protocols


Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent

  • Valid California SLP License (or eligibility to obtain)

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs may be considered with strong school-based experience

  • Previous experience in a school setting or working with children with special needs is highly preferred

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment
