Part-Time School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
Job Description:
ProCare Therapy is currently seeking a passionate and qualified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a part-time opportunity in a supportive and collaborative school environment. This is an ideal position for clinicians looking to maintain work-life balance while making a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners with unique needs.
As a contracted SLP through ProCare Therapy, you will be responsible for delivering speech and language services to a small caseload of students enrolled in special day classes (SDCs). You will work closely with educators, paraprofessionals, and families to support students’ communication development and educational access.
Position Details:

Start Date: Beginning of 2025-2026 School Year

Commitment: Full academic year

Work Days: 2-3 days per week

Hours: 6 hours per day

Caseload:

4 Special Day Classes

Approximately 8 students per class

Grade Levels: Transitional Kindergarten (TK) through 6th Grade

Students have a variety of communication needs, with individualized education plans (IEPs) in place

Service Setting: On-site school-based setting

Support: Join a multidisciplinary team with a strong focus on collaboration and student success
Key Responsibilities:

Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine students' speech and language needs

Develop and implement individualized therapy plans aligned with IEP goals

Deliver direct and consultative services to students with mild to moderate communication disorders

Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including progress reports and therapy notes

Attend and participate in IEP meetings as needed

Collaborate with educators, parents, and school staff to support students’ academic and social-emotional growth

Provide services in accordance with state guidelines and school district protocols
Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders or equivalent

Valid California SLP License (or eligibility to obtain)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs may be considered with strong school-based experience

Previous experience in a school setting or working with children with special needs is highly preferred

Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
