A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available for a contract covering the current school year at a K-12 school located in Peru, Indiana. This role involves working with approximately 70 students of all abilities and levels, including preschool through 12th grade.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the teacher of record for approximately 30 students eligible due to speech or language impairments.
- Provide speech and language services as the teacher of service for the remaining students, where speech and language needs are a secondary identification.
- Plan and implement individualized therapy sessions tailored to students’ unique communication needs.
- Collaborate with educators, parents, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services and student progress in compliance with school and state guidelines.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP preferred).
- Experience working with a diverse student population across preschool to 12th grade.
- Knowledge of speech and language impairments, assessment techniques, and intervention strategies.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
