Speech Language Pathologist Remote Opportunity in Lexington, KY
VocoVision specializes in connecting certified speech language pathologists with school districts across Kentucky seeking teletherapy services. We maintain a robust network of SLPs prepared to deliver effective virtual speech and language intervention to students with communication needs.
This remote SLP position offers the opportunity to provide evidence-based therapy services through engaging online platforms. You'll work with school-aged students addressing various communication disorders while enjoying the professional flexibility of teletherapy practice.
Position Structure
Your typical schedule includes 35-37.5 hours per week serving a caseload of 48-55 students across elementary and middle school grade levels. You'll provide individual therapy sessions, small group interventions, and consultation services addressing articulation, phonology, language, fluency, voice, and pragmatic communication disorders. Teletherapy delivery utilizes interactive digital materials, video modeling, and engaging activities specifically designed for online therapeutic interactions. You'll balance direct therapy time with assessment activities, documentation requirements, and collaborative meetings.
Clinical Responsibilities
Core duties encompass the full scope of school-based speech language pathology adapted for virtual service delivery. You'll complete comprehensive evaluations including standardized testing, language sampling, and dynamic assessment to determine eligibility for services. Writing evaluation reports requires synthesizing data, identifying communication strengths and needs, and developing evidence-based recommendations. You'll participate actively in IEP meetings, developing measurable goals and determining appropriate service delivery models. Therapy sessions target specific communication objectives using systematic cueing hierarchies, providing frequent opportunities for practice and feedback. Progress monitoring through consistent data collection informs treatment decisions and demonstrates student improvement. Parent training sessions equip families with strategies supporting communication development at home.
Mandatory Qualifications
Applicants must possess ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) and hold active licensure to practice speech language pathology in Kentucky. A Master's degree from an accredited communication sciences and disorders program is required. At least two years of experience providing speech and language services in school environments is mandatory. Strong clinical skills, knowledge of developmental communication norms, and understanding of special education processes are fundamental to this role.
Teletherapy Requirements
Successful virtual practice requires comfort with technology including telepractice platforms, digital therapy materials, and electronic documentation systems. You'll need strong internet connectivity, professional video conferencing setup, and problem-solving skills to address technical challenges efficiently. The ability to build therapeutic relationships through screens while maintaining student motivation is critical for achieving positive outcomes.
