Deliver transformative speech and language therapy services in our cutting-edge virtual education environment. We're seeking a skilled speech language pathologist who excels at building therapeutic relationships online and implementing evidence-based interventions that help students develop essential communication skills for academic and social success.
Position Overview
Serve a diverse caseload of 46-54 students weekly across elementary through high school grade levels, working 37 hours in our comprehensive virtual platform. Your clinical expertise will address articulation disorders, language impairments, fluency challenges, and pragmatic difficulties through engaging teletherapy sessions that maximize student progress and outcomes.
Clinical Service Delivery
- Perform comprehensive speech-language evaluations using standardized assessment protocols
- Create individualized therapy plans with measurable goals aligned to educational needs
- Conduct interactive therapy sessions utilizing digital games, activities, and visual supports
- Implement evidence-based articulation therapy for speech sound production errors
- Provide language intervention targeting morphology, syntax, and semantic development
- Support students with stuttering through fluency-shaping and modification approaches
- Address voice and resonance disorders with appropriate therapeutic techniques
Specialized Intervention Areas
- Phonological disorder treatment using cycles approach and minimal pairs therapy
- Expressive and receptive language therapy addressing comprehension and formulation
- Social communication intervention for students with pragmatic language deficits
- AAC device training and implementation for non-verbal or minimally verbal students
- Childhood apraxia of speech treatment using motor-based intervention methods
- Executive functioning support related to language organization and sequencing
- Auditory processing strategy development and compensatory technique training
Collaborative Team Practice
- Participate in IEP development meetings presenting evaluation results and recommendations
- Consult with classroom teachers on communication accommodations and strategies
- Provide parent education on speech-language milestones and home practice techniques
- Collaborate with special education teams on integrated service delivery models
- Document therapy sessions with accurate data tracking and progress monitoring
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student achievements and next steps
- Engage in problem-solving teams addressing complex student communication needs
Required Professional Credentials
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from ASHA-accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active Pennsylvania Speech-Language Pathology license in good standing
- Minimum 2 years of school-based speech therapy experience
- Strong clinical knowledge across pediatric communication disorder areas
- Experience delivering teletherapy services through virtual platforms
- Excellent student engagement skills adapted for online learning environments
- Proficiency with digital therapy resources and educational technology
