Join our progressive virtual education team as a speech language pathologist dedicated to helping students achieve their communication potential. We're recruiting an experienced clinician who excels at delivering engaging teletherapy services and building strong relationships with students and families in online learning environments.
Role Framework
Support approximately 48-58 students per week through comprehensive speech and language services, maintaining 36 hours in our virtual education system. Your clinical expertise will address diverse communication needs including articulation, language development, fluency, and social communication across all grade levels.
Comprehensive Therapy Services
- Perform thorough speech and language assessments using standardized and informal measures
- Create measurable IEP goals targeting specific communication skill development
- Deliver interactive therapy sessions utilizing digital games, activities, and visual supports
- Implement language intervention strategies for students with developmental language disorders
- Provide articulation therapy using visual and auditory cueing techniques
- Support students with childhood apraxia of speech through intensive motor planning interventions
- Address resonance and voice disorders with appropriate therapy protocols
Specialized Clinical Areas
- Early language intervention for preschool and kindergarten students
- Grammar and syntax development for complex language learners
- Narrative language skills and story retelling intervention
- AAC evaluation and implementation for non-verbal or minimally verbal students
- Social thinking and pragmatic language curriculum implementation
- Phonological awareness training supporting reading development
- Auditory processing support and compensatory strategy training
Team Collaboration and Consultation
- Lead IEP meetings discussing evaluation results and therapy recommendations
- Provide consultation to classroom teachers on communication supports and modifications
- Train parents in home carryover activities and communication strategies
- Collaborate with reading specialists integrating language and literacy interventions
- Partner with behavior specialists addressing communication-behavior connections
- Coordinate with external speech therapists for comprehensive service delivery
- Participate in child study teams and problem-solving meetings
Essential Qualifications
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Valid Ohio Speech-Language Pathology license
- 2+ years of pediatric speech therapy experience in educational settings
- Strong foundation in evidence-based assessment and intervention practices
- Proficiency with teletherapy technology and virtual engagement strategies
- Excellent clinical documentation and progress monitoring skills
- Cultural sensitivity in working with linguistically diverse populations
