Speech Language Pathologist - Remote Learning Environment | Las Vegas, NV

Position Framework
Support a dynamic caseload of 44-54 students weekly through comprehensive speech-language services, working 36.5 hours in our structured virtual learning environment. You'll provide evidence-based intervention addressing speech sound disorders, language deficits, social communication challenges, and fluency concerns across diverse grade levels.
Direct Student Services
- Provide targeted articulation therapy correcting speech sound errors and phonological patterns
- Implement language therapy building vocabulary, grammar, and comprehension skills
- Support students with stuttering through fluency shaping and modification techniques
- Deliver social pragmatic intervention for perspective-taking and conversation skills
- Address voice disorders through vocal hygiene education and therapeutic techniques
- Implement AAC systems supporting functional communication for nonverbal students
- Provide therapy for oral motor difficulties affecting speech production
Assessment and Program Planning
- Complete diagnostic evaluations determining speech-language service eligibility
- Administer standardized tests measuring articulation, language, and fluency abilities
- Conduct ecological assessments examining communication in natural contexts
- Write comprehensive evaluation reports with diagnostic conclusions and recommendations
- Create measurable, educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives
- Develop intervention plans incorporating evidence-based treatment approaches
- Monitor student progress through consistent data collection and analysis
Virtual Engagement and Innovation
- Design interactive digital activities maintaining student attention and participation
- Utilize specialized speech therapy software and applications
- Create visual schedules and supports enhancing virtual learning experiences
- Implement motivational systems encouraging student effort and progress
- Adapt traditional therapy materials for effective online delivery
- Incorporate student interests and preferences into therapy planning
- Provide asynchronous resources for home practice and skill generalization
Professional Qualifications Required
- Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from ASHA-accredited institution
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Current Nevada Speech-Language Pathology license with educational endorsement
- Minimum 2 years of school-based or pediatric speech therapy experience
- Demonstrated competence treating diverse communication disorders
- Proficiency with teletherapy technology and virtual service delivery
- Strong collaborative skills for working with educational teams and families
- Commitment to culturally responsive assessment and intervention practices
Specialized Professional Knowledge
- Expertise in developmental speech sound disorder assessment and treatment
- Understanding of language impairment characteristics across developmental stages
- Knowledge of social communication intervention for autism spectrum disorders
- Experience with augmentative and alternative communication options
- Familiarity with bilingual language development and assessment practices
- Understanding of literacy connections to oral language development
- Dedication to evidence-based practice and clinical outcome measurement
