Remote Speech Language Pathologist Opportunity - Detroit, MI

Position Overview This remote position offers the opportunity to work with students requiring speech and language services through our state-of-the-art virtual platform. You'll be supporting students with various communication needs while collaborating with school teams to ensure comprehensive care. Our technology-driven approach allows for meaningful therapeutic relationships while providing the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive virtual speech and language evaluations
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's needs
- Provide direct therapy services through engaging online platforms
- Collaborate with IEP teams to establish appropriate goals and accommodations
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as needed
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
- Participate in virtual team meetings and parent conferences
- Utilize innovative technology tools to enhance therapeutic outcomes
Typical Schedule and Caseload
- 35-37.5 hours per week of direct and indirect services
- Caseload of 45-55 students across various grade levels
- Flexible scheduling to accommodate different time zones
- Mix of individual and group therapy sessions
- Support for students with articulation, language, fluency, and social communication needs
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current Michigan state licensure or ability to obtain
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Minimum 2 years of school-based experience required
- Strong technology skills and comfort with virtual platforms
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Reliable high-speed internet connection and quiet workspace
Technical Requirements
- Computer with updated operating system and webcam
- Noise-canceling headset for clear audio quality
- Stable internet connection (minimum 25 Mbps upload/download)
- Familiarity with video conferencing platforms and educational technology
