This opportunity combines the flexibility of home-based work with the meaningful impact of supporting student success and wellbeing.

Position Overview

Step into a pioneering role where technology meets psychology in educational settings. Our virtual school psychology program serves students across multiple districts, offering you diverse clinical experiences while maintaining work-life balance. You'll support approximately 45-50 students through comprehensive psychological services, conducting assessments, providing interventions, and collaborating with educational teams through secure virtual platforms.

Core Responsibilities

Lead psychological evaluations for special education eligibility, including cognitive assessments, behavioral observations, and comprehensive report writing. Provide individual and group counseling services, crisis intervention support, and consultation with teachers and families. Your expertise will guide intervention planning, progress monitoring, and collaborative problem-solving within multidisciplinary teams.

Service Delivery Model

Utilize state-of-the-art virtual assessment platforms and teletherapy tools to deliver comprehensive psychological services. Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, behavioral assessments, and therapeutic interventions through HIPAA-compliant technology. The virtual format allows for flexible scheduling while maintaining the clinical rigor expected in school-based practice.

Student Population & Caseload

Work with students across elementary, middle, and high school levels, addressing diverse mental health needs, learning challenges, and behavioral concerns. Your caseload will include students requiring special education evaluations, those needing counseling support, and crisis intervention cases. The variety ensures professional growth and meaningful impact on student outcomes.

Professional Schedule

Maintain a structured schedule of 35-37 hours per week from your professional home office, with appointment times coordinated to optimize student availability and family needs. Consistent routine provides stability while flexible elements accommodate emergency situations and individual student requirements.

Essential Qualifications

Active Michigan School Psychologist license is required along with a Master's degree in School Psychology or related field. Candidates must demonstrate at least two years of experience providing psychological services in educational settings. Knowledge of special education law, assessment procedures, and crisis intervention protocols is essential.

Technology & Remote Work Requirements

Proficiency with video conferencing platforms, electronic assessment tools, and digital documentation systems is necessary. A secure home office setup with reliable internet connection ensures effective service delivery. Technical support and comprehensive training are provided for all platforms and assessment tools.

Professional Development Opportunities

Access ongoing training in virtual assessment techniques, trauma-informed practices, and evidence-based interventions. Our collaborative team environment provides peer consultation, supervision support, and continuing education opportunities to advance your professional expertise in school psychology.
