This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position offers an exciting opportunity to provide specialized therapy services in a school-based setting located in Pawtucket, RI. The role serves elementary school students across two sites, supporting a diverse caseload with a comprehensive scope of responsibilities.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Rhode Island SLP License with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Rhode Island DOE
- Completion of fingerprinting process prior to start
- Experience in school-based speech-language pathology preferred
- Ability to travel between two locations as part of itinerant service delivery
Location:
Pawtucket, RI – Elementary school environment with itinerant assignments between two sites (K–6th grade)
Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services to approximately 40 students
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and evaluations
- Develop, implement, and manage Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators and families
- Perform all standard duties associated with school-based SLP practice
- Manage a caseload under a caseload model across two school sites
Additional Details:
- Position type: Contract assignment for the current school year for 16 week assignment.
- Work schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM
- Itinerant role requiring travel between two educational sites, with travel arrangements provided
