We are looking for a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for a school-based role in the Pawtucket, Rhode Island area. This position involves working directly with students to assess and treat communication disorders, develop individualized therapy goals, and collaborate with educational staff to support student success in academic and social environments.
Position Highlights:
- Location: Pawtucket, RI (and surrounding areas)
- Setting: School-based (K-12)
- Caseload: Diverse student population across elementary, middle, and high schools
- Employment Type: Full-time or part-time, flexible scheduling
- Start Date: Immediate openings or for the 2024/2025 school year
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language skills
- Develop and implement personalized therapy plans and IEPs
- Provide direct therapy services to students with communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' needs
- Document therapy progress and participate in regular IEP meetings
- Offer consultations and training to educators on language and communication strategies
Qualifications:
- Rhode Island SLP licensure required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- CCC-SLP preferred, but CFY candidates welcome
- Prior experience in a school setting is preferred but not required
- Ability to work effectively within a team and communicate with multiple stakeholders
- Commitment to helping students overcome communication challenges
