A specialized opportunity is available for a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide essential support within a school setting in Carteret, NJ. This contract position covers maternity leave during two distinct periods: April 27 to June 24 and September 3 to November 20. The role primarily serves students in grades 5 and 6, as well as self-contained students with multiple disabilities spanning grades 3 through 8.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech-language pathology services to students with diverse communication needs, including those with multiple disabilities.
  • Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Monitor student progress and adjust therapy techniques accordingly.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary approaches to student success.
  • Maintain all required documentation in compliance with school and regulatory standards.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working in pediatric healthcare or school-based settings.
  • Proficiency in evaluating and treating speech, language, and communication disorders.
  • Ability to work effectively with students with multiple disabilities.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Schedule and Location:

  • Position is located in Carteret, NJ.
  • School day hours: 8:30 a.m. to 2:55 p.m.
  • Contract role covering maternity leave during two timeframes within the academic year.
