School Speech Pathology | Newark, New Jersey
A Full-Time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available for a Leave of Absence (LOA) contract in an elementary school setting serving students from Pre-Kindergarten through 4th grade. This opportunity is based in Newark, NJ, with an anticipated assignment duration from ASAP to April (exact end date pending), approximately 3-4 months, during the 2025/2026 school year. The role requires an on-site presence, Monday through Friday, working 35 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students in PreK-4th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student evaluations.
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and school staff to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with all district and state requirements.
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey SLP license.
- Current NJ Educator License.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required; no SLP Assistants or Clinical Fellows accepted.
- Experience working in school settings with elementary-aged children preferred.
- Ability to start immediately with active NJ licensure within the last year to meet archiving requirements.
- Must be available to work onsite; teletherapy (VOCO) is not permitted in NJ for this role.
