Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Pasadena, TX
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) opportunity is available at an elementary school in Pasadena, TX. This contract position spans the current school year and offers a supportive work environment with a manageable caseload. The successful candidate will work alongside a part-time SLP, serving students in kindergarten through second grade, including those in one self-contained program that incorporates Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to K-2 students, including walk-in cases
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students in both general education and self-contained settings
- Collaborate with educational staff and other therapists to support student communication goals
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school policies
- For SLPA candidates: work under the supervision of a qualified SLP
Qualifications:
- Valid certification as an SLP with Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or CCC credentials preferred
- SLPA candidates must have access to a supervising SLP
- Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings
- Knowledge of AAC methods and interventions beneficial
- Strong communication and organizational skills
