Position: Full-time, direct hire, calendar school year (CSY)
Caseload: Elementary students (Kindergarten through 5th grade)
Contract: Renewable based on performance and fit within the district
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify eligibility for special education services
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
- Provide targeted individual and group therapy services addressing speech and language goals
- Consult with educators, administrators, and families to implement effective communication strategies
- Participate in district initiatives promoting positive school climate, cultural responsiveness, and social justice
- Deliver training and support to school staff on strategies to assist students with speech and language difficulties
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid Texas state licensure as an SLP and ASHA certification of clinical competence (CCC-SLP)
- Strong foundation in current theories, research, and best practices in speech-language pathology
- Experience with diverse student populations and demonstrated cultural competence
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
