Location: Onsite near Humble, TX – Elementary School
Position: Full-time, direct hire, calendar school year (CSY)
Caseload: Elementary students (Kindergarten through 5th grade)
Contract: Renewable based on performance and fit within the district

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough speech and language assessments to identify eligibility for special education services
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams
  • Provide targeted individual and group therapy services addressing speech and language goals
  • Consult with educators, administrators, and families to implement effective communication strategies
  • Participate in district initiatives promoting positive school climate, cultural responsiveness, and social justice
  • Deliver training and support to school staff on strategies to assist students with speech and language difficulties

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
  • Valid Texas state licensure as an SLP and ASHA certification of clinical competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Strong foundation in current theories, research, and best practices in speech-language pathology
  • Experience with diverse student populations and demonstrated cultural competence
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
