A full-time Speech Language Pathologist is sought for a K-12 school near Eastern Houston, TX, serving elementary and secondary students. This direct hire position offers a flexible work schedule with the benefit of working from home two days per month. The role involves providing comprehensive speech and language services to students across all grade levels throughout the academic year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other specialists.
- Monitor student progress and adjust therapy plans to meet evolving needs.
- Provide consultative support to educators to promote effective communication strategies in the classroom.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and regulatory standards.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- Experience working within a school setting, preferably K-12.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and disorders.
- Ability to conduct assessments and design treatment plans tailored to diverse student populations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, families, and staff.
Location: Humble, TX (near Eastern Houston)
This position offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week with a very flexible approach to work hours. Candidates will have the opportunity to balance onsite responsibilities with remote work for at least two days each month.
