An opportunity is available for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential therapy services within a K-12 public school setting located in the Baltimore area. The roles are on-site, with no remote or hybrid options. Assignments range from full-time to part-time itinerant positions supporting preschool, elementary, and middle school students, offering valuable hands-on experience in diverse educational environments.
Key Qualifications and Requirements:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working with preschool through middle school-aged students
- Ability to provide supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As) in middle school settings
- Reliable transportation for itinerant assignments across multiple school sites
- Commitment to on-site, full or part-time schedules as outlined below
Position Details:
- Multiple contract assignments with flexible start dates on or before December 1, 2025
- Full-time positions (37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday) supporting preschool and elementary students at community preschool locations and elementary schools
- Part-time role (30 hours/week, Monday-Thursday or Monday-Friday) serving middle school students with collaborative supervision responsibilities for SLP-As
- Locations include community preschool programs, elementary schools, and a middle school in the Baltimore region
- Opportunities to extend contracts to cover Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026
Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to students across various grade levels
- Collaborate with educational staff, families, and support personnel to develop and implement therapy plans
- Supervise SLP-As to ensure effective service delivery within middle school programs
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance with district and state regulations
- Adapt therapy sessions to meet the diverse needs of the student population
