Exciting opportunity for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide vital services in a dynamic K-12 school setting located in Bel Air, MD. This contract position offers flexible assignments supporting preschool, elementary, and middle school students within community preschool locations and local schools. Ideal candidates will have active Maryland Professional Licensure and experience working with diverse student populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool (community preschool), elementary (PreK-5), and middle school (6-8) students
- Provide direct therapy and supervision to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLP-As) as applicable
- Manage caseloads efficiently and design targeted interventions to meet individual student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district policies and professional standards
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working in school-based settings with children from preschool through middle school
- Ability to provide supervision to SLP-As is essential for middle school assignments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license for itinerant roles covering multiple school locations
Assignment Details:
- Start Dates: December 1, 2025 (or earlier) through January 9, 2026; and February 16, 2026 through June 18, 2026, with options to extend into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026
- Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday) for two positions; Part-time (30 hours per week, Monday-Thursday) also available with flexibility to extend to five days
- Locations: Community Preschool sites (itinerant), Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School
