A dynamic opportunity is available for Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) to provide essential services in the Baltimore area, MD. This role involves supporting students from preschool through middle school across multiple school settings, including community preschools, elementary schools, and a middle school.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to preschool, elementary (PreK–5), and secondary (6–8) students.
- Provide supervision and guidance to Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs).
- Manage caseloads across assigned locations, including Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
- Maintain compliance with Maryland professional licensure and district credentialing requirements, including background checks and fingerprinting.
- Collaborate with school staff to support student communication needs and promote positive outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland professional license in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working with diverse student populations from preschool to middle school.
- Ability to supervise SLPAs effectively.
- Familiarity with district policies and professional standards for school-based therapy.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Position Details:
- Start dates range from January through March 2026, with contracts running through to the end of the school year, and potential extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July.
- Full-time positions (37.5 hours/week, Monday–Friday) available for two roles.
- Part-time position (30 hours/week, Monday–Thursday, with the possibility of a 5-day schedule) is also offered.
- Itinerant work providing services in community preschool locations.
- Assignments involve a blend of on-site work across multiple schools in the Baltimore area.
