School Speech Language Pathologist - Bel Air, Maryland
A dynamic opportunity is available for licensed Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) to support K-12 students across multiple school settings in the Baltimore area, MD. This contract role involves working closely with preschool, elementary, and secondary students, delivering essential speech and language services and collaborating with support personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy to preschool through 8th-grade students, including itinerant services at community preschool locations.
- Deliver services at assigned schools, including Magnolia Elementary, Prospect Mill Elementary, and Aberdeen Middle School.
- Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) in supporting service delivery, particularly at the secondary level.
- Collaborate with school staff to implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state regulations.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland professional licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist (CCC certification preferred).
- Experience working with preschool, elementary, and secondary age groups.
- Ability to supervise SLPA and coordinate services effectively.
- Flexibility to work full-time (37.5 hours/week, Monday-Friday) or part-time (30 hours/week, Monday-Thursday with option for Friday).
- Reliable transportation for itinerant assignments between community preschool locations.
Position Details:
- Start Dates: January 9, 2026; February 16, 2026; March 16, 2026 (depending on vacancy), with potential extensions into Extended School Year (ESY) in July 2026.
- Contract duration aligns with the current school year cycle.
- Locations include schools in the Baltimore area, with some itinerant assignments requiring travel.
