School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Baltimore, Maryland
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within a K-12 public school setting in the Baltimore, MD area. This role involves providing direct speech-language services to students across early childhood, elementary, and middle school levels during specific contract periods throughout the academic year. Candidates must hold an active Maryland Professional SLP license and be willing to work onsite full-time or part-time, depending on the assignment.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Maryland Professional SLP licensure is required.
- Experience with preschool through middle school populations.
- Ability to provide supervision for Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) when assigned.
- Flexibility to work full-time (37.5 hours/week) Monday through Friday or part-time (30 hours/week) Monday through Thursday with a possibility of five-day coverage.
Locations and Assignments:
- Community Preschool locations (itinerant): Preschool students, 5 days per week.
- Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week) and Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week): Serving elementary students from PreK to 5th grade.
- Aberdeen Middle School (Monday-Thursday, with optional Friday): Serving secondary students (Grades 6-8), including SLPA supervision.
Contract Duration:
- Early winter coverage from December 1 or before Thanksgiving through January 9, 2026, with options to extend.
- Mid-winter to late spring coverage from February 16 to May 29, 2026, with potential extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July.
- Spring to early summer coverage from March 16 to June 18, 2026, with ESY extension options.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with educational staff and families to support student progress.
- Supervise SLPA staff when applicable.
- Maintain compliance with state licensure and district guidelines.
