This opportunity seeks skilled Speech-Language Pathologists to provide essential support within a K-12 school setting in Glen Burnie, MD. These contract positions offer a chance to work directly on-site (no virtual or hybrid options) with diverse student populations ranging from preschool to middle school age groups, supporting communication development and facilitating speech-language interventions.
Available Positions:
- Full-Time SLP (2 positions):
- Dates: 2/16/26 – 5/29/26, with potential extension into Extended School Year (ESY) services in July 2026
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 37.5 hours/week
- Locations: Magnolia Elementary (3 days/week) & Prospect Mill Elementary (2 days/week)
- Student Population: Elementary (PreK–5)
- Part-Time SLP (1 position):
- Dates: 3/16/26 – 6/18/26, with possible ESY extension
- Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 30 hours/week (option for 5 days)
- Location: Aberdeen Middle School
- Student Population: Secondary (6–8), including supervisory responsibilities for an SLP Assistant
Additional Short-Term Opportunity:
- SLP providing itinerant services for preschool students at Community Preschool locations from 12/1/25 (or earlier) through 1/9/26, Monday-Friday, covering care for preschool-aged students daily.
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Professional Licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Experience working in school settings with children from preschool through middle school
- Ability to collaborate with support staff, including supervising Speech-Language Pathology Assistants
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseloads effectively
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement therapy in accordance with school guidelines
- Serve preschool, elementary, or secondary students based on assigned position
- Collaborate with educators, families, and support personnel to promote communication development
- Document student progress and maintain required records
- Supervise and support Speech-Language Pathology Assistants as applicable
