Speech-Language Pathologist positions are available within a Southeast Florida public school district, offering both full-time and part-time opportunities. These roles focus on serving school-age children across various elementary and K-8 campuses, with a primary emphasis on conducting evaluations to support the district’s efforts in addressing student needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, particularly for students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
  • Collaborate with school teams to develop and implement individualized intervention plans
  • Work onsite within assigned schools, providing direct support to students
  • Support caseload management with 1-2 school assignments depending on the schedule
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with district reporting and documentation standards

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active SLP licensure is required
  • Experience completing evaluations for Autism students is essential
  • Background working within school settings is preferred
  • Ability to obtain necessary fingerprint clearance (may utilize Department of Health records)

Locations & Scheduling:

  • Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie, FL (2 days per week)
  • CA Moore K-7 and FK Sweet Elementary in Ft. Pierce, FL, with options for full-time or split part-time assignments (CA Moore has no self-contained units; FK Sweet has one ASD unit)
  • Work alongside one SLP and one SLPA onsite at DHH Cluster sites
