Travel School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist - Oxon Hill, Maryland
A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized speech and language services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade in Oxon Hill, Maryland. This position involves working directly with students who demonstrate a range of communication disorders to support their academic and social development within the school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough speech and language assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education program (IEP) goals tailored to student requirements
- Deliver both direct therapy and consultative services to students, adapting techniques to individual cases
- Collaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary IEP teams to facilitate student progress and ensure consistency of services
Qualifications:
- Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist License is required
- Maryland State Department of Education (MSDE) Certification or eligibility to obtain the certification
- Experience in school or pediatric settings is preferred but not mandatory
Position Details:
- Full-time or part-time positions available to accommodate various schedules
- Caseload consists of K-12 students with diverse speech and language needs
- On-site services at the school location are required
- This is a travel opportunity; candidates should be willing to work in different school settings as needed within the designated region
