Role Summary
Oxford School District is hiring a school-based SLP to provide services to students at the elementary level (PreK–4). This position focuses on early language development, social communication, and phonological awareness in a growing student population. The ideal candidate is student-centered, data-driven, and committed to building strong relationships with families and teachers.
Duties Include

Perform speech-language evaluations and write comprehensive reports

Provide individual and group therapy aligned with IEP goals

Maintain detailed records and therapy logs

Attend IEP meetings and communicate regularly with parents

Collaborate with interventionists, counselors, and special educators

Provide teacher in-service and parent training as needed

Help identify students for early intervention services
Work Environment & Caseload

Assigned to one school, with limited travel between sites

Caseload: ~28–32 students

Balanced therapy model with time for planning and collaboration

Access to district-funded therapy supplies and assessment kits
Minimum Requirements

MS degree in Speech-Language Pathology
-
Mississippi educator license with 215 endorsement
-
ASHA CCCs preferred; CFs considered with available supervision

Strong written and interpersonal skills
