Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Speech-Language Pathology license for the state of Alabama
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) is required
- Previous experience in a school-based SLP role is highly preferred
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Excellent communication skills with students, families, and interdisciplinary teams
- Adaptable and resourceful in managing dynamic caseloads
Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop individualized treatment and intervention plans for students, aligning with educational goals
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to ensure continuity of care
- Conduct on-site therapy sessions; adjust strategies to maximize student progress
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and legal standards
