Virtual AAC-Focused SLP Oklahoma K12 Students
We are hiring a Remote SLP with expertise in Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) to support Oklahoma school districts. This 1099 contract role is ideal for a specialist passionate about supporting non-verbal or minimally verbal students. You’ll collaborate with educators and families to assess, implement, and monitor AAC solutions, ensuring each student has a voice. This position allows for autonomy in your caseload and schedule, while making a major impact on communication access for students with complex needs.
Duties:

Conduct AAC evaluations using virtual tools and observation

Recommend high- or low-tech AAC solutions tailored to student needs

Collaborate with AT specialists, teachers, and IEP teams

Train school staff and families in AAC use

Provide virtual therapy focused on AAC modeling and access

Monitor device usage and communication progress

Document IEP goals and updates related to AAC

Adapt therapy strategies based on AAC platform (TouchChat, Proloquo, etc.)

Support insurance documentation for AAC acquisition (if required)

Conduct troubleshooting sessions for devices or software

Ensure compliance with Oklahoma assistive technology mandates

Track and report outcomes of AAC implementation

Help students transition between AAC tools as they develop

Provide remote workshops or demos for school staff

Maintain a library of AAC support resources for families

VOCOVISION Requirements
· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
· Home computer with high internet speed
· Passed basic tech screening
Interview Process:
- 10-15 minute screening call with a ProCare Therapy Recruiter
- 20-30 minute Virtual Interview with the School District
- Offer is typically within 24-48 hours of the virtual interview
