Make a significant impact supporting young learners as a dedicated Early Childhood Speech-Language Pathologist in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity runs from late August through early June, providing a full-time schedule within an engaging early childhood special education (ECSE) program for children aged 3 to 5. Situated in a welcoming environment, you’ll collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to foster communication and language development for students during their crucial early years.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Valid Minnesota SLP license (required for consideration)
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience or interest in working with preschool/early childhood populations, especially in school settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Ability to develop individualized therapy plans and adapt to diverse learner needs
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to students ages 3–5 within the ECSE program
- Conduct assessments to identify communication needs and strengths
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with teachers, specialists, and families
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress reports, and related records
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and contribute to a supportive, student-centered environment
- Communicate effectively with students, staff, and families to ensure continuity of care
