Minnesota School-Based AAC SLP Remote Contractor
This specialized 1099 SLP position is focused on supporting students with complex communication needs across Minnesota schools. As an AAC specialist working remotely, you will assess, implement, and monitor augmentative and alternative communication solutions. You’ll collaborate with special education teams, OT/PT staff, and caregivers to maximize communication access and educational participation.
Duties:

Evaluate students for AAC device and software needs remotely.

Train school teams and families on AAC use and programming.

Integrate AAC goals into the IEP process and documentation.

Monitor usage and troubleshoot device access issues virtually.

Write detailed assessment and progress reports.

Attend virtual AT (Assistive Technology) team meetings.

Develop visual supports and core vocabulary boards.

Provide remote coaching for generalization across school settings.

Document therapy and device training using compliant systems.

Maintain knowledge of AAC trends, tools, and funding sources.

· Must have a Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
· Contractors must provide your their own liability insurance
· Comfortable being an independent contractor (1099)
