A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in a K-12 school setting located in Chico, CA. This contract assignment spans the current school year (CSY) and offers the opportunity to work with a diverse pediatric population in an educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of students presenting with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Provide therapy sessions aimed at improving speech and language skills
- Track and document each student’s progress with accuracy and attention to detail
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, administrators, and other multidisciplinary team members to support student success
- Engage families to inform and involve them in their child’s therapeutic journey
Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations highly desired
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team
Licensure Requirements:
- Active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology for the state of California
- Master’s Degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology
