Speech Pathology - Deltona, FL
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide itinerant support to several private schools in the Deltona, FL area, serving students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This position requires a dedicated professional to deliver specialized speech-language services within multiple school settings, ensuring students receive tailored interventions to support their communication development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students K-12 across assigned schools.
- Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on evaluation results.
- Provide direct speech therapy services to students in compliance with educational guidelines.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to student evaluations, treatment sessions, and progress notes.
- Travel between designated private school campuses as part of an itinerant assignment.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
- Current Florida State licensure as an SLP.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
- Experience working with school-aged children in K-12 settings.
- Ability and willingness to travel between multiple school locations.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.
Location:
- Deltona, FL area with itinerant responsibilities at several private schools including faith-based and community schools.
Contract Duration:
- Current school year contract, with anticipated assignment from ASAP through May 27, 2026.
