This contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within an educational setting focused on students with autism. Serving children and young adults from elementary age through 22 years, you will work collaboratively to support communication development and enhance educational outcomes for this diverse population.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-person speech-language therapy tailored to the needs of students with autism
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment data and educational goals
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including educators and caregivers, to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and monitor student progress according to contractual and regulatory requirements
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to a positive therapeutic environment
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid SLP certification/license applicable to the state of Florida
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum within school settings
- Strong understanding of evidence-based practices for speech and language interventions
- Ability to provide in-person therapy on-site at two education centers
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Location:
- This role is based in Orange Park, FL, with service provided at two education centers: Marklund Wasmond and Nathan Education Centers.
Contract Details:
- 30 hours per week contract position
- Opportunity to support while the full-time role is being filled
- In-person therapy services only
