An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to support students in an educational setting in Okeechobee, FL. This contract position offers full-time hours during the 2026-2027 school year, providing services to one or two schools within the Southeast Florida Coast area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language pathology services to students as outlined by their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Manage a caseload of students across a range of age groups within the school district
- Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and other professionals to support student progress
- Conduct assessments, provide therapy, and maintain accurate documentation to comply with district requirements
- Adhere to all credentialing and fingerprinting requirements to maintain safety standards
Qualifications:
- Active Speech-Language Pathology licensure (CCC-SLP preferred; CF-SLP eligible applicants considered with supervision)
- Prior experience in school settings is preferred but new graduates are welcome to apply
- Ability to commit to full-time hours, approximately 37.5 hours per week
- Willingness to work onsite during school hours in Okeechobee, FL

- Contract dates run from August 10, 2026, to May 28, 2027
- Caseload and exact school assignment will be determined closer to the start date
- Fingerprints required; potential to use Department of Health records for credentialing
