This opportunity is for Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential services within K-12 educational settings across multiple locations in Southeast Florida. Positions are available on both full-time and part-time schedules, with assignments typically based at one campus per role. The contract runs from January 5, 2026, through June 2, 2026, with a focus on delivering comprehensive speech therapy support to students ranging from elementary through middle school.
Locations and Assignments Include:
- Dan McCarty Middle School (four days per week) and Forest Grove Middle School (one day per week) in Ft. Pierce, FL. Positions require the SLP to work independently on assigned days, servicing at least one Individualized Education program (IEP) unit.
- Oak Hammock K-8 in Port St. Lucie, FL, two days per week, supporting a DHH (Deaf and Hard of Hearing) cluster site alongside one SLP and one Speech-Language Pathology Assistant.
- Private School Evaluation Team in Port St. Lucie, FL, one day per week, conducting evaluations requiring a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). This evaluation position is funded through May 29, 2025.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Florida state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Ability to manage diverse caseloads across various grade levels (K-12).
- Strong organizational and communication skills to work autonomously on assigned campuses.
- Experience working with students with speech, language, and hearing impairments is preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech-language assessments and provide therapy services in educational settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to implement individualized treatment plans.
- Document student progress accurately and maintain compliance with school district protocols.
- Participate in evaluation teams when required.
This contract position does not offer hybrid or remote work options and requires onsite presence as specified. Multiple openings are available to accommodate various schedules and locations.
