We are currently seeking an onsite Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a school district in Oakland, CA. This full-time position serves K–12 students with mild to severe disabilities. The district is prioritizing onsite staff and actively interviewing qualified candidates.

Position Details

  • Location: Oakland, CA

  • Discipline: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

  • Schedule: Full-time | Monday–Friday | School-based calendar

  • Setting: Onsite only (district is phasing out virtual providers)

Caseload

  • K–12 student population

  • Mix of mild to severe disability types

  • Caseload assignments based on district and student needs

Requirements

  • Active California SLP license

  • ASHA CCC-SLP certification preferred

  • Previous school-based experience strongly preferred

  • Strong organizational, communication, and collaboration skills

Responsibilities

  • Administer academic assessments, write reports, and present findings at IEP meetings

  • Consult and communicate with faculty and parents through meetings, phone, and email

  • Collaborate with faculty to ensure modifications and accommodations are implemented in the classroom

  • Assist with development of the master schedule to plan for all student IEP needs

  • Meet IDEA requirements related to case management and input weekly IEP service tracking

  • Maintain a high level of rigor to ensure equitable access to common core standards

  • Develop and share progress monitoring tools with the IEP team

  • Collaborate regularly with staff and related service providers for student support and co-planning

  • Provide oversight of paraprofessional support, including scheduling and IEP implementation

  • Maintain records, notifications, and reports per federal, state, and SELPA regulations

  • Implement health and mobility supports as needed (e.g., toileting, g-tube feeding, medication administration under supervision of school nurse)
