A full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at a K-12 school in Oakland, CA, for the current school year contract. This onsite role focuses on providing comprehensive speech and language services to students with mild to severe disabilities within the school setting, ensuring equitable access to education through specialized interventions and collaboration with educational teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a full caseload spanning K-12 students with various disability types.
  • Administer academic assessments, prepare detailed reports, and actively participate in IEP meetings.
  • Collaborate closely with faculty, parents, and related service providers to communicate student progress and coordinate services.
  • Maintain compliance with all current special education regulations and IDEA case management requirements.
  • Support the development of master schedules to accommodate all IEP services.
  • Track and input weekly IEP service data, ensuring all timelines and documentation meet federal, state, and SELPA standards.
  • Develop and utilize progress monitoring tools for student goals, sharing insights with the IEP team.
  • Provide daily oversight and support to paraprofessional staff to ensure effective implementation of IEPs.
  • Assist with health and mobility supports, such as toileting, G-tube feeding, and medication administration under supervision.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills to manage records and documentation.

Qualifications:

  • Valid California Speech Language Pathology License.
  • Experience working within California schools is preferred.
  • Possession of EIPA score certificate, written knowledge test certificate, coaching report, certification exam passage proof, or completion of an interpreter training program.
  • Knowledge of IDEA regulations and special education compliance.
