Speech Language Pathologist – School-Based
Location: Norwalk, CA
Start Date: ASAP
Schedule: Full-time, Monday – Friday
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Position Overview:
A school district in Norwalk, CA is seeking a passionate and skilled Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services for the 2025–2026 school year. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity where the SLP will work directly with students across grade levels to help them improve their communication and language skills.
The selected candidate will play an integral role in supporting students’ academic success and social development while collaborating with teachers, families, and special education staff. This is a rewarding position for an SLP looking to make a lasting impact in a supportive school environment.
Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct speech and language therapy to students based on individualized education plans (IEPs).

Conduct evaluations, assessments, and screenings to identify speech and language needs.

Develop IEP goals, write progress reports, and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.

Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and related service providers to integrate communication goals into the classroom setting.

Attend IEP meetings and communicate with families regarding student progress and strategies for support.

Support a diverse student population ranging from mild to moderate needs.
Caseload Information:

K–12 caseload (exact details to be shared during interview)

Manageable student numbers to allow for both therapy and compliance responsibilities
Qualifications:

Active California SLP License (required)

Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; CFs may be considered with supervision

School-based experience preferred but not required

Excellent communication and organizational skills
Compensation:

$40–$45 per hour, based on experience
