A part-time licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support within a K-12 school setting. This contract position, located in Henderson, NV, is ideal for an SLP passionate about working with children and supporting their communication development. The role is scheduled for 1.5 days per week during the current school year (CSY).
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments for students from kindergarten to 12th grade
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students’ specific communication needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports in compliance with school policies and regulations
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary planning
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Experience working in school settings, especially with pediatric populations
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is a plus
- Strong understanding of speech and language disorders common in children and adolescents
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, families, and school personnel
