A school-based speech-language pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide services to K-12 students in North Chicago, IL, for a full-semester contract running from ASAP through May 29, 2026. This full-time position requires onsite presence and offers a caseload that may include support across multiple school buildings.
Location: North Chicago, Illinois
Duration: Full semester contract (ASAP – May 29, 2026)
Hours: Full time, 37.5 hours per week
Caseload: K-12 students
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois license as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) required
- Candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) are encouraged to apply
- Bilingual candidates, especially Spanish-speaking, are highly welcomed
- Speech-Language Pathology Clinical Fellows (SLP-CFs) consideration available
- Ability and willingness to work onsite in multiple school settings as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide individualized speech and language therapy for K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to develop appropriate intervention plans
- Track student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Communicate regularly with families and school personnel to support student development
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs, including bilingual support as applicable
