Speech-Language Pathologist in Charleston, SC
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available at an elementary school in Charleston, SC, offering a contract role from early January through early April, with the possibility of extension through the end of the school year. This opportunity is ideal for certified SLPs, including Clinical Fellows, who hold an active license and meet South Carolina state requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to students according to the existing caseload and schedule
- Collaborate with school staff to support student communication needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports for each student
- Deliver services during the school week, totaling 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Speech-Language Pathologist license required
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred but not mandatory if under supervision
- Experience working as a school-based SLP is highly desirable
- For Clinical Fellows, supervision must be provided by the company throughout the contract term
Schedule Details:
- Start date: ASAP, ideally January 5
- End date: April 3, with the potential to extend to the end of the academic year
- Days off when campuses are closed: January 19, February 16, April 6-10, and May 25 (note that the contract finish date precedes the last closure date)
This position offers a structured schedule with no need for makeup services at this time, allowing for focused therapy delivery during regular school hours.
