Speech Language Pathologist in West Chester, PA
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in an elementary school setting located in West Chester, PA. This contract position covers a leave assignment beginning ASAP through the end of March, servicing an elementary caseload of 40-50 students with a variety of speech and language needs. Extension beyond the end of the school year is uncertain; however, other roles are expected to be available throughout the spring to ensure continuity of employment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language evaluations and interventions to elementary students
- Develop individualized treatment plans addressing diverse communication needs
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to monitor student progress and integrate therapy goals
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with school and state regulations
- Participate in meetings with parents, teachers, and multidisciplinary teams as needed
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from an accredited speech-language pathology program
- Experience working as an SLP in school settings, preferably with elementary-aged children
- Ability to manage a caseload of 40-50 students with varying speech and language disorders
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to work in Pennsylvania schools
