A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized support in an elementary school setting located in Virginia Beach, VA. This is a contract position covering a leave of absence, offering the opportunity to impact young students' communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders in children
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational staff to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports for each student
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute recommendations for speech-language goals
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience working with elementary-aged children in a school environment
- Strong knowledge of speech and language development and common speech disorders
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
