Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Niles, MI
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist in a school setting located in Niles, MI, starting ASAP with a tentative end date of June 2, 2026. This role offers the possibility to provide compensatory speech services during the summer months. The position involves working 15.5 to 23.25 hours per week, spread across 2-3 days, with daily hours from 8:00 AM to 3:45 PM.
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering speech-language therapy services to a caseload of 20-25 students.
- Working with students ages 5-22 who have severe autism, cognitive impairments, medical needs, and delays in communication and social skills.
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans.
- Collaborating with educators and support staff to promote student progress.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP).
- Eligibility or current status as an SLP Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidate is considered.
- Expertise in pediatrics and working within school environments.
- Experience supporting students with severe autism and complex communication needs.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
