Travel Speech and Language Pathologist in Newtown, CT
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist position is available for the upcoming school year, starting ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY). This onsite role is specifically designed to support 5th and 6th-grade students within a school setting in Newtown, CT. The opportunity involves working with a dynamic caseload and requires candidates who can effectively manage and present Clinical Fellowship (CF) experiences.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology License
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) required or equivalent experience
- Experience working in school-based settings with children
- Ability to create and implement individualized care plans for diverse student needs
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators and families
Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive speech-language therapy to 5th and 6th graders
- Manage a full caseload, assessing and monitoring student progress
- Present Clinical Fellowship sessions to support CF clinicians’ development
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to enhance student outcomes
- Document therapy strategies, progress reports, and maintain compliance with school policies
