Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Newcastle, CA
A part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available within an elementary school setting in Newcastle, CA. This contract role offers an opportunity to support students in a dynamic educational environment with a current caseload of approximately 18 students, which may increase. The position requires a commitment of 40% to 45% part-time hours during the contract school year.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech-language therapy services to elementary students to support their communication needs.
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and implement evidence-based interventions.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress and adjust therapy goals.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state regulations.
- Participate in meetings and contribute insight for student development and therapy strategies.
Qualifications:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings.
- Completion or enrollment in a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) is preferred.
- Knowledge of speech and language disorders common in elementary school-aged children.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to manage caseload and collaborate effectively.
