Middle School School-Based SLP | Newark, New Jersey
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available working with a middle school caseload in Newark, NJ. This contract role involves providing specialized speech and language services to middle school students, supporting their communication development and academic success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for middle school students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and school guidelines.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development opportunities.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with middle school-aged students preferred.
- Strong knowledge of speech and language therapy strategies and best practices.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage a full caseload effectively.
Position Details:
- Location: Newark, NJ
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Contract position in a middle school setting
