Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Newark, New Jersey
This opportunity seeks experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to support students in a school setting located in Newark, NJ. There are five openings available with a focus on providing direct therapeutic services across a range of grade levels, primarily in high school with one PreK-K opening and a part-time role at an elementary school. These positions offer an impactful chance to support communication development in diverse student populations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve caseloads primarily at high school level; one position focused on PreK-K and a part-time role at an elementary school
- Deliver evidence-based speech-language therapy services onsite
- Collaborate with educational teams and families to promote student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with district and state requirements
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
- Valid New Jersey School Certification for Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Experience working with pediatric populations in school or healthcare settings
- Ability to manage full or part-time caseloads (4 full-time, 1 part-time)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Position Details:
- Start: ASAP through end of school year (EOSY)
- Hours: Four full-time positions at 37.5 hours per week; one part-time at 25 hours per week
- Work Setting: Onsite at assigned schools within the district
