Speech-Language Pathologist in Newark, NJ
A contract opportunity is available for a Speech Therapist to support elementary students in grades 1 through 3. This role will be based in Newark, NJ, serving a school environment from March 18th through June 24th, 2026.
Responsibilities include conducting speech and language assessments, developing individualized therapy plans, and delivering direct interventions to support students’ communication needs. The therapist will collaborate closely with educators, parents, and support staff to promote effective communication skills and academic success.
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) certification and state licensure
- Experience working with elementary-aged children, particularly grades 1-3
- Strong knowledge of speech and language disorders commonly encountered in school settings
- Ability to develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and document progress
- Effective communication and teamwork skills to engage with students, families, and school personnel
