Speech Therapist in Edison, NJ
A contract Speech-Language Pathologist position is available to support elementary students in a school setting in Edison, NJ. This role involves working two days per week, specifically Thursdays and Fridays from 8 AM to 3 PM. The caseload primarily includes 19 students, the majority of whom have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide speech and language therapy services to elementary students with diverse communication needs.
- Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to students' specific goals and abilities.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to enhance student progress.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies.
- Utilize teletherapy techniques as needed to support student therapy sessions.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP - CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (SLP - CFY).
- Experience working in school settings is highly preferred.
- Familiarity with teletherapy methods and tools.
